I have cut the fabric pieces for #TheAngelicaGown, finally!

I strategically bought slightly too little fabric because the shop only sells in 50cm increments and I'd have been left with extra. I cut out the bodice pieces individually from single layers for maximum efficiency, and am now piecing together the skirt pieces. Last photo is what I have left over!

A photo of a ginger tabby cat resting on a rather loud flower pattern fabric that has been laid out on the floor to cut it. The base colour is a petrol blue, but the red and light green flowers are the much more prominent element. The cat seems determined but also like he knows he's not supposed to be where he is.

The main body of the piece is smaller than the paper pattern below it, and smaller pieces of the same fabric have been basted on with loose big stitches by hand, nearly seamlessly matching the pattern on the fabric. Several pieces are needed to make up the entire skirt piece.
A photo looking down on a rather small pile of extremely small fabric scraps. It doesn't look like it could be feasibly used even for quilting, the pieces are such slim slivers. A bigger length of the already cut skirt pieces is in the frame, as well as Sini's toes and a sewing supplies tin.

@Sini Tuulia congratulations on the self control for not buying extra fabric “I can always make some accessory from the leftovers” :D

(I'm absolutely not speaking from experience, more like regular practice)

But the satisfaction in having only a tiny pile of small scraps is something!
