Quick doodle to test a refurbished Ms Surface Pro 3 (cheap, 2014) running GNU/Linux (Fedora Gnome). Good hardware support out of the box for stylus and touch on this model.

Feedback:
- I could saw almost nothing while drawing, even with backlight to max and no sunglasses.
- It's not precise at all.
- It's super hot today and so was the black tablet.

But a 100% Free/Libre and open-source digital drawing pad with Mypaint on a bench? Very fun!

Is it worth it to use a tablet for outdoor sketching vs paper do you think?
in reply to Gilbert Busana

Paper really beats digital on everything for plein-air outside, imo:
✅ No battery issue.
✅ Super visibility.
✅ Real time high FPS gesture.
✅ Texture and no parralax.
✅ Mega cheap in comparison.
✅ Ecologically-friendlier.
✅ Lightweight in a backpack.
✅ No boot time or waiting time.
✅ Ends with a real art you can give (or sell).

But!
❌ Doesn't have Undo
❌ No Selections, Filters, versionning, etc...
❌ Doesn't have hundred thousands color available
❌ It doesn't run Doom
