The chinese Huawei SmartAX MT810 ADSL was a 2006 USB #modem, also know as the Alfajor, Flying Saucer, etc.
It was incredibly unreliable. You were required to be a #UNIXWizard with a longer beard than Ken Thompson to make this crap work.
Once I managed to get the SmartASS working, it only gave you spurious 640Kbps on the lines. That was "broadband" in 2008.
