Sirius: the coruscating jewel of the northern winter night sky 😍

A long exposure defocussed image of the star Sirius taken while moving the camera. This results in a large number of roughly circular images of the star across the image in many colours as differences in the refractive index of the turbulent air changes the dominant wavelength from moment to moment.
