bonk bonk bonk bonk what the students say from columbia uni all the way to LA let us unify and rise in the coolest way motherfuck 12 free palestine to the grave not a single cop deserves a lot of love use what you got whether acorn or water jug it's not a clip only bitch it's a life lesson if you're resourceful anything can be the right weapon
The song has ignited a conversation about whether it's appropriate to make light of the ongoing conflict on campuses and the war in Gaza. For No$hu, it's not only pertinent — it's necessary. In conversation with Mashable, he pointed to a quote by anarchist printer Jack Frager paraphrased from anarcho-feminist icon Emma Goldman’s autobiography Living My Life. "If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution."
after getting getting brutalized all night, we ended the night hiding in the bushes heckling the cops about their ugly moustaches and how they weren't loved enough as children. laughing and crying and never forgiving them for their evil and their role in the imperial machine but finding joy in a moment of peace for ourselves
i spent a year on a research project studying the way humour structures and supports fascist belief systems, and the patterns of our humor, of leftists making light and joy and love and resilience instead of the humor of cruelty and domination, that's one of the defining features of how we live with each other that is so unspeakably vital
if you read any chat leaks from fascist orgs, they just aren't funny... they're terrified of one another. humor takes the place of demonstrating their commitment to the unnamable cause of power, of proving their ability to be cruel. humor is about creating meaning and is a deep echo of our beliefs and values, and the act of making hope for each other by laughing together is a beautiful one.

A pro-Palestine protester hit a cop with an empty water jug. Now it's a viral song.

Why should only the protesters get puppets?
It was weird the way it changed dynamics at demonstrations
Hard to tell if it ever diffused police violence, but it always made them laugh
If you begin a #protest with the cops asking for selfies with you, maybe it makes it harder for them to beat you up?
Fucking great puppet
