#Apple to Move a Part of its Embedded Cores to #riscv Stepping Away from #Arm ISA

The bad part of the new is that those 30+ hidden #cores drive a lot of hardware using #proprietary #firmware

Will be it an RISC-V CPU inside an ARM CPU?

🤯

Anyway who care about Apple but if they think that is feasible maybe other vendors will start to offer more RISC-V computers...

Since this is clearly the next feature we had better to create a unified platform as was made for X86 to avoid the current mess that is ARM.... :flan_think:

AFAICS there will be several RISC-V cores hidden inside M* System-On-Chip that will "look like" hardware devices (Bluetooth, Mouse, Touchscreen etc)

That's what I understand from the cited article. They could hide as much spyware as they want, especially in the Ethernet and WiFi interfaces

I am fine while this shit is circumscribed to the Banana ecosystem... :flan_nooo:
