@GrantMeStrength no since the OS is still #proprietary (it also holds for most #Android). I want to control my #hardware.
I still have a 1999 iBook SE where I installed #Debian; at that time their behaviour was much better

the OS is “proprietary”? You mean they won’t open source it? Ok. You started off complaining about the headphone jack and when I pointed out a solution you pivoted quite a bit. At least thanks to the DMA all the APIs are exposed.

@GrantMeStrength I wrote that the missing jack is ONE of the **SEVERAL** reasons why I #AvoidApple. If you are happy with them, I won't bar you from buying such devices
