Molto bella la visualizzazione delle modifiche di un post mostrata da #tuskyapp
in reply to Sandro Santilli

Comunque a parte quella "ed" messa prima di "la", che era un chiaro refuso, le altre due le trovavo carine. Le ho tolte solo per facilitare la lettura a chi se ne è lamentatə

thanks. I wrote that, and it's always nice to hear when other people find it useful.

@nikclayton and it's great you could even understand my post ! Are you using a machine translation or can you understand Italian ? If the former: which one and via which client ?
@Nik
in reply to Sandro Santilli

it's machine translation (enabled if your Mastodon server supports it).

I wrote this for #Pachli (https://pachli.app, @pachli), which can use this to translate posts in the app from version 2.0.0 onwards (https://pachli.app/pachli/2023/11/23/2.0-release.html).

Future versions will include on-device translation (no third party service required) and language detection, to warn if you're writing a post in one language, but have another language set in the post's metadata.

Sandro Santilli reshared this.

@nikclayton @pachli very nice ! Is multi-account supported ? I cannot find it and it surprises me as I thought #Pachli was a fork of #Tusky which supports it ?
in reply to Sandro Santilli

@pachli it's definitely supported, the UX for that is the same as Tusky:

1. Login with one account
2. Open the left navigation bar (swipe, or tap your profile picture)
3. At the top right of the menu, next to your account's name, is a disclosure triangle
4. Tap that, the "Add account" option appears

When logged in with multiple accounts you can swap between them in the same way, or by tapping the profile pictures that appear in that menu.

@nikclayton @pachli I was confused because the text is not readable with the banner images associated to my accounts. Maybe it should be written on a buffer to make it more readable
in reply to Sandro Santilli

@pachli good idea. Tracked at https://github.com/pachli/pachli-android/issues/298
