The Natural Landscape Photography Awards is a competition handled unlike most others (to its credit). I always enjoy seeing the results when the winners are announced:
Button bush, Cephalanthus occidentalis is always popular with the butterflies and bees. They have a very nice spicy fragrance too.
Pipevine Swallowtail - (black butterfly) Milesia virginiensis, known generally as the yellowjacket hover fly. They look intimidating but are friendly. Eastern tiger swallowtail (yellow butterfly)
I don't think I've shared this #photo of a female eastern #bluebird here. A trio of them (two females and one male) have been visiting the feeders a fair amount.
