This monitor was in the waiting room of a medical lab I visited today. If it weren't for those two islands of grey text, I would have guessed that some hardware problem was dropping the red and green channels. Instead, I think we're looking at a prime example of what happens when your display is implemented by an inexperienced designer with 20/20 vision, a huge hi-res monitor with gamma cranked way up, and no understanding of either graphics rendering or the physiology of vision.

@Catherine Berry as somebody with a decent enough vision (at least short distance, which is how I'm watching this): I'm not 100% sure this is just a design failure born out of incompetence and not a design success where the aim was to make it hard enough to read the text so that people can be stuck with surprise medical bills.
