I am currently struggling with a SBC I have cause I can't get U-boot reading the changes I made to grub and therefore it won't boot. And U-boot hasn't been designed with the simplicity in mind like GRUB or LILO, it is a complicated stub that work at low level and requires skill that I lack.
We came back again where technology is hard to grasp for the sake of somebody else but not the end user, and I don't like it.

I share all your concerns. I'm hopeful that the time is ripe for #ARM becoming a real first class citizen in the #freeasinfreedom ecosystem. It seems that #qualcomm said they won't put barriers to those wanting to install Linux in their forthcoming #snapdragonxelite platform
