A great change to #Mastodon code to support free knowledge would be an ability to set a copyright release for attached media. In image captions I'm adding #CC0 to show they are copyright free or all rights released as #CCZero. A popular free license is #CCBYSA which allows any reuse but needs attribution to the author or photographer
