well, I tried, but I discovered that most of the design choices they made that I disregarded were actually good for my workflow. I tried returning to #Mate, #WindowMaker, #LxQt even #Enligthenment and #IceWm. They all felt somehow "hostile".
I never really liked #Kde, since 1997 (no joke), having tried it several times.
Never found the courage to move to a pure #tiling window manager.
