My screenshot shows the main screen from the app #Beeper (recently acquired by #Automattic) with messages from #Whatsapp, #Instagram and #LinkedIn –in ONE centralized inbox.

I have Meta apps on an empty burner phone and I really don't like LinkedIn, so this has been a fun exercise: I can access messages from these platforms without using their apps. Everything is end-to-end encrypted

Are there any #Beeper users out here? https://beeper.com the universal chat app by #Automattic, NOT real beepers... I realize the terrible timing of my question, given what's happening in the news. Sorry about that!

I'm attempting to test #Matrix bridges with various apps, which are technically made easy by Beeper.com but had some problems (see screenshot).

I really hope they open source it.
Since they are going for a fee-for-service model like Wordpress, I'm optimistic. This is key for breaking the network effects that #gatekeeper companies rely on: #Apple #Meta #Facebook #WhatsApp #Discord #Telegram #Signal.
