Today I was trying to explain the “character of the keys”, where musical key settings having a different feel or “color” than other keys
I’m curious if anyone has a good discussion/illustration of the phenomenon?

= a general gradient, lasting several hundred years, where some keys tended to be tuned more in tune than others. 🎹🌈
Which shaped composers habits + pieces, leading to I’d argue persistent shading to each key despite equal temperament being the norm for ~100 years. đŸ€Ż
