🪞 Introducing Mirror Hall, an app to turn any Linux devices into a second wireless monitor!
We offer custom P2P screen sharing optimized for latency. Only Mutter-based DEs are currently supported as *senders*, whereas all DEs work as receivers.
This is our first unstable release, sp please be kind and report issues. If you are an #ARM user, we would love your help testing the gstreamer pipeline on new phones!

#ARM Demands destruction of all PCs with #snapdragon
It's just so absurd 😢😭😠😠😱
> It just seems too abstruse: ARM could become relevant for PCs for the first time. However, the company itself is torpedoing the venture.
Incoming Apple’s M4 vs Snapdragon Elite X
According to 9to5Mac the incoming M4 chip will boast impressive performance: around 14500 in multi-core. Too bad that Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite which is already roaming around beats it with 15600 (as far as I can say they used the same benchmarks).
I bet that Snapdragon based laptop will have much more memory and cost a lo

For #Signal users on #Linux (and #MobileLinux), there is a poll on the community discourse to see how many people are using Signal on Desktop and where they are getting it from, if you want to chime in: https://community.signalusers.org/t/signal-on-desktop-survey/53978
Hopefully if we can show @signalapp@mastodon.world that there is interest, they will finally claim the #Flatpak (and hopefully the #Arm version from Elagost [1] at the same time) !

Signal on Desktop survey?
On this forum there is open discussion about Taking ownership of Signal Flatpak, but in my humble opinion, we need to have some measurements, before we can be taken more seriously by Signal desktop team. Can you please answer to bellow questions.Signal Community
Don't worry you haven't turned me down 😁
I share all your concerns. I'm hopeful that the time is ripe for #ARM becoming a real first class citizen in the #freeasinfreedom ecosystem. It seems that #qualcomm said they won't put barriers to those wanting to install Linux in their forthcoming #snapdragonxelite platform
#asahilinux runs on #AppleSilicon with a considerable #reverseengineering effort. Now Qualcomm and others are developing desktop #arm systems. Will Linux run on them? Do they support #freeasinfreedm operative systems? I think also about #Freebsd #Openbsd
