I’m giving a presentation on how to make #stats / #datascience reproducible using #RStats on 𝟭𝟡 π—π˜‚π—Ήπ˜† for #ReproT, https://rb.gy/21920

it’s based on my book "Building reproducible analytical pipelines with #rstats (https://raps-with-r.dev/)

I’ll quickly walk you through how you can use {renv}, {targets} and #Docker to make your #RStats project reproducible!

New #bicycle 🚴 track analytics demo key topics are:

1️⃣ Using @movingpandas with local image coordinates
2️⃣ Georeferencing video-based trajectories using @qgis VectorBender plugin

Continue to work on my book, still focusing on packaging some fun dataset. This weekend, refreshing the sfo R data package ✈️ πŸ›« πŸ›©οΈ . The sfo package provides summary statistics of the monthly passengers 🧳 and landings πŸ›¬ at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) between 2005 and 2020 (hopefully by Monday, extend the data to 2022).

:python: :qgis: #DataScience proof of concept blog post is finally ready:

https://anitagraser.com/2023/02/25/tracking-geoprocessing-workflows-with-qgis-dvc/

including source code and demo video

Let me know what you think. Is it worth looking into automatic #QGIS modeler to #DVC export?

Next level :python: :qgis: #DataScience proof of concept:

Turned a simple QGIS Processing model into a #DVC data-versioned #geoprocessing workflow

"Why is this great?" you may ask ❓

DVC tracks data, parameters, and code. If anything changes, we simply rerun the process and DVC will figure out which stages need to be recomputed and which can be skipped by re-using cached results.

This can lead to huge time savings compared to re-running the whole model πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»πŸ₯³

Happy #GISDay !! I will mark this celebration with my favorite map - the cholera cases from #JohnSnow , recreated. I guess this is how it all began... #GISDay2022 #GIS #datascience #leaflet
