I’ve been asked for a good source of information for finding sewing machines that include such features as “no computers” and “easy buttonholes” and “less than US$700”, as well as dealing with a wide range of fabric thickness.

If you know a good website for sewing machine comparisons, that would be great. If you have a machine suggestion, that would also be good.

Thanks!

Boosts ok

Last year I wrote up a mega thread with lots of links about mending textiles. I’ve compressed and reorganized it as a very old school webpage on neocities in hopes of making it a bit easier to use:

Good morning Knitterati! Has anyone ever tried winding yarn with a "nostepinne?" Looks like a must-have tool, especially for non-stretch yarns like the one in the demo here. Cheap and effective!

In low panic mode for my internship.
They want "business casual" and I don't know what that means for either of the cis genders?
Hell I don't even know what a trans/nonbinary "business casual" would look like.

My ass, having watched 17th century British documentaries:

So... I add handmade lace to it?? Bobbin lace? Tatted lace? (Tatted lace is from the 1800s but its a fast lace to make.) Lace makes you look formal and businessy right?

Octagons are done! Those are the last pieces, now I have to see it all together. # #

Progress on my next project. I have so many more triangles to make but the next phase involves stitching some of these together so I thought I would show the big piles. # #
